Normally, one views stereo pairs mounted and in a viewer, as a stereo card mounted and in a stereoscope, Polarize projected, or rear screen polarize projected with 3-D glasses.
There is a method by which you can see the above images similar to the way one would view a random dot stereogram, whereby you see the images in 3-D on your computer without use of any equipment or glasses. . To begin, your eyes should be about arms length from the monitor. Place your thumb on the line bisecting the pair. With your eyes focused on your thumbnail, slowly draw it closer to you. You will notice in the background that the bisecting line will appear to become two lines spreading apart., to the point that there will become a third central image. Carefully try to maintain the image "fusion" as you remove your thumb. This is commonly known as "Free-Viewing". It takes a little practice.
